Palm oil is a product made from the fruits of oil palms.
Fat should be present in the human diet and vegetable oils, including palm oil, are used in the food industry.
Palmitic acid is a saturated fatty acid, the main component of refined palm oil. In recent decades, research has shown that the damage to palm oil is due to an excess of palmitic acid. 1
